That is Apple's mechanism for turning one base price into a locally appropriate price per territory, accounting for local taxes and the rounding conventions each currency uses. It is why the number you see is a normal-looking price in your currency rather than a converted figure with odd decimals.
In the United States that works out to US$4.99 monthly and US$29.99 annually. In Australia it is A$7.99 monthly and A$49.99 annually. Your own App Store shows your local figure, including tax where it applies, before you confirm anything.
The seven-day free trial on the annual plan is available in all 175 territories, not just the launch markets. Apple handles the purchase itself, so you are charged by Apple in your local currency, and you manage or cancel the subscription in your own App Store settings rather than by contacting us.
